Sewing Classes

Class Information

Class Details (2024/25 School Year)

  • 1 hour per week from September - April. 

  • Class size is limited to 3-4 students per class.

  • Sewing machines & sewing tools are provided in class.

  • Students use the Kids Can Sew Curriculum workbook & pattern packet to learn to sew. It is theirs to keep. Replacement packets are $60.

  • Students purchase their own fabric and thread for each project. 

  • Classes focus on clothing construction with some craft projects.

Classes are designed so students can start anytime during the year. Each child progresses at their own pace which creates a stress-free relaxing environment for learning to sew.

Holidays

Classes will not be held on the following days:

  • October 1st-3rd

  • October 31st

  • November 5th 

  • November 25th-29th

  • December 23rd - January 6th

  • March 3rd-7th (may be subject to change)

  • March 24th - 28th

Classes for the 2024/25 school year end on:

Thursday, April 24th

Tuesday, April 29th

Wednesday, April 30th

Classes mostly follow the Dublin City Schools calendar. Classes are not held when school is not is session. Sewing class is canceled when school is canceled due to weather.

Pickup - Drop Procedure

Students may arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before class and should be picked up within 5 minutes after each class.

Tuition & Payment Policies

Class Tuition

First Month's tuition is $140 and is required at time of enrollment. Each month after is $80 per month. Payment is due the first class of each month. A late fee of may be added if payment is received after the second class of the month. First month's tuition is paid at the time of registration to reserve your child's spot. Sewing patterns & instructions are included with your child's enrollment.

 

After school classes for the 2024/25 school year are offered on a month to month basis from

September - April. Students are automatically enrolled each month unless notice to withdraw is given. 30 days withdraw notice is required.

Tuition is based upon an average of 3 classes per month throughout the school year (24 classes September-April). You are not charged extra for months with 4 or 5 classes. Likewise, tuition is not prorated for months with fewer than 3 classes.  An Additional 2-3 classes over the 24 classes are built into the schedule for any cancellations due to weather, sickness, emergencies, etc. 

If the classes fall below the 24 classes, refunds and or additional classes may be offered at the end of the year only.

When classes are held and a student is absent, refunds, makeups, and/or credits are not provided.

Policies may be updated as needed.
